Clinical Supervision

Service Description

My clinical supervision services include guidance on meeting all BHEC Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners requirements for licensure, preparation for the licensure exam and individualized support to help you reach your career goals in clinical mental health care. I provide individual and group supervision for LMSWs seeking clinical licensure. As a Clinical Supervisor, I provide individualized supervision tailored to your needs and strengths that will work in your practice setting. I am invested in your professional development and your career growth. I encourage LMSWs to find clinical supervision that will best suit their future career aspirations. This includes finding a Clinical Supervisor with knowledge and experience in the areas of practice that they hope to make their specializations. I offer extensive experience with adolescents and adults in a variety of settings including community based mental health programs for intensive need, crisis & high risk behaviors. I also offer experience in outpatient therapy with training in the following modalities: Brainspotting, CBT, MBCBT, CBTp, CAT, DBT, SFBT, Narrative Therapy & MI. ​ I have a background in education and experience with a variety of pedagogical approaches. Using these different approaches, I optimize the acquisition of knowledge and skills needed for LMSWs to become quality, competent clinical providers. I have 5 years of teaching experience with the UTSA Department of Social Work. In this position, I learned best practices for developing the clinical skill set of Social Workers.
